12 Days of Christmas Wishing – December 1st

You know that the holiday season is here when our customers are in scouting out prospective gifts for themselves or friends.  The scouting started early this year, and I’m almost feeling late starting our 12 Days of Christmas Wishing.  But for the last four years, December 1st is the day we begin our 12 days of e-mails featuring some of the wonderful products we carry, what we like about them, and how to use them.  Our e-mails will provide you with gift ideas for your quilting buddies, and, of course, for yourselves.

Are you wondering how to pass along your favorite gift ideas to your families?  Well, how about printing off the e-mails of the items you want, and leaving them taped to the milk jug in the fridge, posted on the microwave door, or adhered to the steering wheel – highlighting our new address of course!  You could always forward on our e-mails as well, just to give them a little wake-up reminder that appreciation would be most welcome for the jokes and family photos you pass along (not to mention the turkeys you’ve cooked or trees you’ve decorated).

All items are on our on-line webstore (http://www.alongcamequilting.com/), which has a secure server, or alternatively, you can call us on our local (403-253-4419) or toll-free number (1-877-745-6445) to order or inquire.

And in case this is your first Christmas with us, the tune is “The Twelve Days of Christmas”, and you’ll have way more fun if you sing along,

“On the First Day of Wishing,

I’d love a place to display my quilts.”

Honestly the older I get, the more I am beginning to believe that everything happens for a reason, and often at just the right time.  And sure enough, only three days earlier while I was working on this 12 days blitz, I had a visitor stop by and ask if I was interested in quilt racks.

I often field calls inquiring if we have any racks for sale, and, sadly, we have had a six-year drought on them.  But the drought ended with this visit, and after all the staff’s ooohing and aahhing, I can unveil to you these beautiful quilt racks.

  • Stylish, modern design available in three different woods:  Walnut (the dark one), Cherry (the best match to oak or teak decors), and Maple.  I am not talking finish colours here – these are the actual wood types used.
  • They are solid wood – not veneer.
  • They have a smooth, but not glossy finish.  There is no further finishing required.
  • Three rungs to display and hold your quilts.
  • They are made in Alberta by a woodworking artisan.  You are purchasing a product that is supporting a local family.  If this was food, it fits the 100-mile challenge.
  • Is packed in a box with the assembly instructions, screws, and tabs to cover the screws.  This makes it easy to ship!
  • $400 (it is not made in a Chinese factory where the workers sleep in bunk beds in dorms).
  • Found on our webstore at:  http://webstore.quiltropolis.net/stores_app/Browse_Item_Details.asp?Store_id=487&page_id=23&Item_ID=11959
  • We cannot stock many of these racks.  If we are out of stock, please place your order with us, and we will do our utmost to try to get you a rack before Christmas.  Remember, these are not from a factory, so they can only be produced so fast.  Please let your family know that the earlier they request one, the more likely we can get it.

I need to wrap my quilting buddy’s gifts, and would love some ‘quilty’ gift tags.”

I’d like some new Christmas napkins for the table this year.”

Forget square napkins.  How about a tree shape?

  • Kit includes pattern and fabric for 4 napkins.
  • Prices vary – dependent on the fabric used.  Samples shown are $18.99 and $17.49.

As you might have guessed, we have limited quantities of some the products that we are featuring over the next 12 days.  So I highly recommend shopping early, and if you can’t come in, call us with your credit card to purchase.  We will then place your item in the customer cupboard until you can come in to pick it up.  (Sorry, but there are no holds on items being featured without payment in full.)

Have a merry December 1st!
Linda
PS:  All prices referred to are in Canadian dollars.  We happily ship world-wide.
